As a Flight Test Operator, your critical tasks include:
- Testing Systems: Ensure the safety and reliability of new and existing systems through pre-flight inspections, safe launching, repairing, maintaining aircraft and ground systems, and testing new hardware and software. Create flight plans, make flight tickets, and respond to issues pre/post flight.
- Observing and Collecting Data: Careful observation of aircraft and live technical feedback during flights. Providing high quality and detailed reports that drive to the root of any issues on a given test using data and a first order analysis.
- Improving Processes: Collect various types of data, and provide detailed technical feedback to engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, preflight, launch, and recover aircraft to test.
- Maintain the existing fleet and new systems for function-specific flight tests.
- Running test, collecting data, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes, safety protocols, hardware, software, and operational efficiency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Part 107 for airspace knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience working in teams and collaborating
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
