Job Summary

Responsible for supporting a variety of Human Resource functions in partnership to business unit or campus. This role provides support for Human Resources Business Partners in functional areas of human resources including, but not limited to employee relations, talent management, talent acquisition, and total rewards. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance.

This role is included in a family of positions including HR Coordinator, HR Generalist and Sr. HR Generalist. Employees are placed based on organizational need, employees level of experience, and competency within the role. This position reports to designated HR Business Partner based on business unit or campus.

This position is on-site and located at our Grand Forks ND location.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Supports communication to employees regarding payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and recruitment ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices.
  • Provides support and counsel to leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices.
  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners to provide advise and counsel on employee issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations to ensure concerns are appropriately resolved in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and the ability to maintain confidentiality on a variety of topics; understands and exercises good judgement to know when to involve HR Business Partner or leader on more complex or sensitive issues.
  • Leads, develops, and participates in company-sponsored activities to support employee engagement.
  • Assists with conducting exit interviews to provide visibility regarding turnover.
  • Coordinates monthly check ins with new employees to help improve retention and engagement initiatives.
  • Manages employee surveys to gather employee feedback to improve employee experience
  • Maintains accurate employee records and administrative procedures that comply with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manages and coordinates termination documentation, to include unemployment requests and verification.
  • Coordinates with leaders to ensure accurate job descriptions as initiate the recruitment process.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment process, including representing Cirrus at events to promote job opportunities.
  • Actively supports our mission, vision and core values and demonstrates Cirrus Service Essentials.
  • Participates in department meetings and offers suggestions and ideas for process improvement.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

HR Workforce Management

  • First point of contact to respond to general HR inquiries or direct to appropriate area, including responding to general HR email inbox; assist employees with UKG self service including benefit enrollment, payroll or time management questions, and system access.
  • Respond to employment verification requests.
  • Compliance & reporting for employee airport badges and other HR audits as needed.
  • Compliance with National Security Agreement including providing visitor notifications and tracking and submitting monthly/annual reports.
  • Tracks and accurately codes department invoices ensuring timely reconciliation and submittal.
  • Creates and distributes HR memos and other communication material as requested.
  • Orders and maintains supplies for the dept.
  • Assists with preparing and communicating key metric reports on behalf of the department.
  • Routes daily mail accordingly.
  • Ensures that HR files, both physical and digital, are created and maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent field preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to effectively work with others and maintain professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience utilizing Human Capital Management System preferred
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) helpful, however, not required.
