Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.The International Direct Tax Compliance Analyst will support the international direct tax compliance process including (i) managing withholding tax compliance (ii) assisting with direct tax compliance and audits including preparing tax reports, approval of routine returns, payment requests and refund claims (iii) managing account reconciliation for direct tax and (iv) implementing and actioning any solutions for system limitations.
Responsibilities:Responsible for international withholding tax compliance, including preparation of data, review of returns and payment requests. Responsible for preparation of all data required for international corporate income tax and municipal tax returns. Responsible for review and approval of routine international corporate income tax and municipal tax returns. Responsible for preparing all payment requests for international corporate income tax and municipal tax. Responsible for preparing international direct tax refund claims.Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual reconciliation of international direct tax accounts.Responsible for ensuring accurate accounting for international direct tax liabilities and maintaining complete audit trails in compliance with corporate guidelines and legislation requirements.Responsible for investigating international direct tax anomalies, preparing remediation plans and ensuring appropriate implementation of agreed solution.Support Manager with international direct tax audits by preparing draft replies and preparation of data required. Assist Manager with review of complex or material corporate income tax and municipal tax returns. Assist Manager with review of projects from an international direct tax perspective.Assist Canadian income tax team with necessary data for global tax initiatives such as BEPS2.0 and Canadian DST.
QualificationsDegree in Business or Finance.Accounting designation required.Work experience in the direct tax field and/or knowledge of direct taxes is an asset.Advanced MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and MS Power Platform (i.e., Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.).Working knowledge of English required.Experience with Ariba and SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP application is an asset.Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others.Excellent communication skills / oral and written.Demonstrated record of initiative and work ethic.Good organization skills and ability to work under pressure.
