We are seeking a team member for a maintenance planning role in long-term planning which is part of Technical Planning & Control department.

Maintenance planning is the focal point in planning of scheduled maintenance on Icelandair’s fleet. Long-term planning specializes in the planning and preparation of heavy maintenance.

This role involves participation in developing a long-term maintenance schedule, preparation of work orders and support for all heavy maintenance visits of aircraft in the Icelandair fleet. That is accomplished in a good collaboration with other departments. The focus is on ensuring that the aircraft under our care are maintained in an organized and cost-effective manner. This includes communication with our maintenance partners both in Iceland and internationally, along with various projects within Long-term planning.

The role is located in Keflavik maintenance hangar. The office hours are during regular work hours with flexible work arrangements

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of work orders for heavy maintenance visits in cooperation with other departments.
  • Participate in development of long-term maintenance schedule for heavy maintenance.
  • Support and follow through of heavy maintenance visits.

Qualifications

  • Part-66 or BS degree in a relevant field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Knowledge of an aircraft maintenance program is a plus
  • Good knowledge of CAME and EASA regulations
  • Experience in an aircraft maintenance environment is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comprehensive computer skills, MXI knowledge is a plus
