About the role

Qatar Airways are excited to be launching a new opportunity to join our Customer Engagement & Loyalty team as a Loyalty Airline Partnership Specialist.

As a Loyalty Airline Partnership Specialist, you will serve as primary lead for Airline FFP Partnerships. You will formulate business plans seeking new airline partners as well as improving performance of existing portfolio of 16+ partners including Oneworld carriers.

You will also ensure contract terms are negotiated and structured fairly benefitting QR, partners and customers, as well as focus on expanding and optimizing QR flight network, improve engagement with frequent fliers globally, in support of the overall airline’s alliance strategy.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:

  • Develop partnership through design of optimal collaboration models with relevant airline partners that create new member benefits, improve earn velocity, provide new redemption choices and grow revenues.
  • Ensure loyalty partnerships are aligned through proper design and structure in order to complement QR’s alliance strategy and initiatives like Joint Business, Codeshare.
  • Assist in defining technical setup required and then coordinating with QR and partner IT teams so that partnerships start on time, without issue and continue that way.
  • Ensure business processes impacting customer experience are defined clearly and properly understood by required teams by organizing training and information documents.
  • Ensure relevant pricing terms are incorporated correctly in the loyalty billing module and in turn interface correctly with airline billing systems so that billings happen on time and accurately.
  • Review contractual documents to ensure they reflect the agreed commercial terms and remain in QR’s interest.
  • Track customer service issues including retro claims in order to correct deviations and affect future improvements in customer experience.

Qualifications

About You

A successful candidate should possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • Relevant College or University qualification e.g. Relevant College or University qualification, e.g. Bachelors degree in Business Management / Commerce / Aviation.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Work experience in airline and/or Frequent Flyer Program.
  • Business Management / Commerce / Aviation background.
  • Understanding of airline partnerships and alliance strategies.
  • Knowledge of airline systems (FFP, RES) and understanding of ICH billing.
  • Experience in writing business cases for new partner proposals and preparing presentations for the management
  • Experience in working with budgets (financial planning) for revenues and costs with partners
  • Excellent command of English, effective negotiation habits, understanding of cultural differences when dealing with global partners
  • Ability to review legal documentation required for partnership.
  • Expertise in conducting analysis (reports) for understanding and showcasing partner performance.
  • Expertise in MS Office especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
