Description:Manufacturing Support Team Member Stf- (Production Ops Specialist)- Greenville SC

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. Leads evaluation/audit of process and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards, aero codes, previously established corrective actions, regulatory and industry requirements. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

The Manufacturing Support Team Member will assist in all phases of the F-16 Manufacturing and Assembly process including, but not limited to, On-the-Job training of electrical manufacturing and structural assembly process, procedure, proficiency training and certification. Avionics installation and operational checkout experience. Primary responsibility once assigned; assist junior level Manufacturing Support Team Members to solve complex manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvements, observe, assess, instruct, and train personnel On-the-Job. The individual must have a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, and standards related aircraft manufacturing and have full knowledge of industry and company practices. They must maintain daily vigilance on assembly line to identify deficient electrical and structural assembly process, procedure, or personal skill. Interface and instruct personnel for the purpose of re-certification and/or make recommendations to supervision/management for de-certification due to substandard performance standards. The candidate will be expected to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems regarding the aircraft manufacturing process. He/She may refer to established precedents and policies and are experienced in all areas of manufacturing operations. The candidate will be required to support corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, advise on and implement innovations and process improvements, as well as maintain 6S/lean processes for their area of responsibility. Candidate must be capable of passing proficiency demonstration of standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of qualifications described here-in.


This role may be required to support different shifts as business needs dictate.

Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
10 years in aviation maintenance/modifications or manufacturing

Experience in reading and interpreting detailed blueprints, wiring installation, electrical schematics lay-out sketches, process standards and specifications, Avionics installations and operational testing.

Experience with aircraft work instructions.

Experience auditing &/or evaluating manufacturing or production operations processes &/or procedures.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with identifying problems &/or corrective actions

•10 years in aviation maintenance/modifications or manufacturing, F16 experience preferred.

• Experience with quality assurance.

• Communication and interpersonal skills for the purpose of communication and instruction at all levels.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
