Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Mid-Level Subcontracts Administrator to support our business in Springfield, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.
This position will require the support of sourcing strategies, subcontract negotiation, the documentation of contracts and agreements, and the preparation and execution of proprietary information agreements and teaming agreements. It will also require the communication of performance expectations and use of metrics to evaluate, monitor, and improve supplier performance. The Experienced Subcontract Administrator will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to quickly and effectively address facilities and construction needs for a U.S. Government customer. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, self-directed role and deadline-driven environment. Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements will be a plus. Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role!
Position Responsibilities:
- Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
- Issues RFP/RFQ and negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions. Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
- Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions
- Conducts risk, issues, and opportunities management
- Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
- Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues
- Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
- Identifies and qualifies new supplier
- Partners with PM, facilities, and logistics teammates to provide the best sourcing solution for our programs
- Supports on the job training for new procurement agents
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph post-Start required.
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- 1+ years’ experience with FAR/DFAR and other Government agency specific regulations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
- Experience in construction/services subcontracting
- Experience using SAP
- Experience with different subcontract types: FFP, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrids
- Experience working in facilities or construction environment
- Price Analysis Methodologies experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a Buyer, Procurement Agent, Planner or Coordinator
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
