BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of professional experience interpreting technical data and using manual and powered tools
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A&P certification or associates degree in a STEM field
- CDL driver's license certification
- Proficiency in or hands-on professional experience with launch vehicle and/or spacecraft integration including operations in 100,000 class or cleaner cleanrooms
- Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
- Superb verbal communication
- Strong analytical, computer, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices, and mechanical and electrical systems
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance or ability to successfully complete a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) preferred. Must be willing to pursue a clearance if not already cleared. Note that an active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
- Must be willing to work overtime and occasional weekends when necessary to support launch and critical project timelines
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Flight hardware is built in tight quarters - physical dexterity is required
- Occasionally exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, ice
- Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Mission Integration Specialist/Level 1: $30.00 - $38.00/hour
Mission Integration Specialist/Level 2: $34.00 - $43.00/hour
Mission Integration Specialist/Level 3: $38.00 - $48.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
