Purpose/Description:
The Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for daily administration of a
network/server environment and maintaining system software for a global organization. This
role ensures optimal network efficiency and performance, troubleshoots issues and deploys
solutions, ensures system security, and analyzes server hardware/software and applications
software compatibility with other systems to optimize scalability of business needs.
Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities:
 Provide maintenance, installation and support of all information technology services and
equipment including but not limited to network infrastructure, telecommunications
infrastructure, server infrastructure, storage infrastructure, personal computer systems,
printers and other peripherals.
 Manage network infrastructure setup and configuration, which primarily consists of Cisco
switches, routers, and firewalls; and also manage wireless network equipment setup and
configuration.
 Manage server infrastructure, which primarily consists of remote servers within several data
centers and a VMware virtual environment, including setup, configuration and overall
operation of servers.
 Manage Active Directory infrastructure, including, but not limited to, the
creation/deletion/modification of user accounts and groups, the
creation/deletion/modification or sites and links, and the assignment/removal of permissions.
 Manage Office 365 infrastructure, including Exchange Online, One Drive for Business, and
Skype for Business (VOIP) configuration and setup/deletion/modification of accounts.
 Management and enforcement of system, network, security, equipment and user policies.
 Manage setup and configuration of system and user policies (Group Policy).
 Training users on hardware and software components and troubleshooting problems as they
arise.
 Able to independently resolve problems utilizing personal knowledge and experience and
other resources such as manuals, the Internet and vendor technical support.
 Management of Technical Vendor accounts, contracts, and licensing,
 Provide timely testing and implementation of new patches, updates and upgrades to
servers, workstations and network equipment.
 This position will require some extended hours and on-call support for global user base and
system maintenance.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a 2-Year Degree in Information Technology or a related field, with at least five (5)
years of experience in network and systems administration of a virtualized Microsoft server
LAN/WAN environment, Cisco-based network infrastructure, e-mail and administration.

 Active Directory, GPO, and account maintenance experience
 Understanding of network concepts is required (DHCP, DNS, VLANS, etc)
 Solid troubleshooting and problem resolution experience 
 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  
 Excellent communications skills 
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
 Working knowledge of SAP/R3 BASIS System Administration is a plus
 AD Connect is a plus
