The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is one of the largest defence companies in Australia, and is now recruiting a highly skilled and motivated individual to support P-8A Poseidon Simulation and Training duties at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

This position fulfils the vital function of scenario generation and courseware management activities to support P-8A mission-crew simulation training and P-8A maintenance technician training on the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.

We are seeking self-motivated professionals with a thirst for a challenging and rewarding career with BDA.

We are actively recruiting people with experience in the following fields to complement our close-knit team

  • Maritime patrol aviation and/or a Defence aviation background
  • Surface warfare or a sub-surface warfare background
  • Combat Systems Operation
  • Electronic and/or Acoustic Warfare specialists

Responsibilities

  • Development & Maintenance of multiple high fidelity scenarios to support both initial and operational training.
  • Review & Management of aircrew and maintenance courseware via an eLearning platform.
  • Manage and prioritise stakeholder tasks across multiple platforms.
  • Track and manage courseware[LDA1] improvements to meet customers evolving requirements.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Have experience and/or an understanding of Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance and training methodology applicable to the synthetic training environment...
  • Demonstrated experience in Learning Management System administration.
  • Courseware manipulation and development experience using MS office and Adobe Creative suite of software tools.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) or equivalent qualification.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

The position is located at RAAF Base Edinburgh, and is customer facing requiring on-site contributions. Additional scope within the role can lead to exciting opportunities to support P-8A deployments within Australia and internationally as required.

Generous and competitive pay is on offer as well as an additional allowance of ADF Reserve time, enabling BDA staff to remain current and retain skillsets within their specialisation, where applicable.
