JOB                       SUMMARY:        

Responsible for specialized clerical work and office support activities involving typing, data entry, file maintenance, and record processing.  

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:          

  1. Performs either specialized clerical duties or a wide variety of routine clerical tasks of confidential information.
  2. Perform data entry, typing, and filing of all related data
  3. Neatly file and maintain various documents and materials.
  4. Assist the general public, clients or other employees by telephone or in person by furnishing requested information or service in a courteous and effective manner.
  5. Performs clerical duties. 
  6. Resolves payroll discrepancies.
  7. Maintains and processes time and attendance records, i.e. bereavement, jury duty, vacation, job cards, and MCS correction forms for direct employees, contractors, and temporary employees for payroll. 
  8. Researches and resolves payroll issues. .
  9. Maintains the day-to-day accountability, accuracy, verification, security, and data entry of all Job Cards along with the verification of various reports.
  10. Performs task associated with contract employee payroll. 
  11. Acts as liaison between Company and contract employers as needed.
  12. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:      Good knowledge of office procedures and equipment including typewriters, copiers, calculators, fax machines and ability to accurately type at a rater of 45 WPM, ability to prepare routine reports and maintain specialized files and records, ability to acquire skills is WordPerfect, SAP, Excel, and ADP.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:       General office environment.

 

SUPERVISION:       Under general direction. Performs assignment after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. Some opportunity for discretion when making selections among a few, easily identifiable choices. Assignment reviewed upon completion.

 

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A moderate level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship within the department and with outside clients. Confidentiality is extremely important.

 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:         Normal office environment requiring the performance of essential responsibilities while sitting at a desk.  Must be able to report to work regularly.  .

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:    

EDUCATION:     High School Diploma or GED required. Some job related courses preferred, i.e. typing, and computer skills and calculator. 

EXPERIENCE:   2 years experience preferred within an administrative office. Some payroll experience is highly desired.
