Directs the development of company market requirements for highly technical and complex products, systems and solutions. This includes the development of product, systems and solution based strategies, requirements analysis, and "Real, win, worth" analysis. Leads the development and execution of Marketing Plans and product / system / solution positioning in the marketplace. Supports LCVS business plan development and execution. Reduces broad concepts and strategic initiatives into Marketing Plans, additionally identifies strategic inflection points in the market place for core and non-traditional business initiatives. In conjunction with Corporate Business Communications, leads the development and execution of the annual communications plan including budgets, branding, advertising, trade shows, collateral, web strategies and content equity. Provides technical assistance and marketing support to the sales organization in Pursuit Order Capture activities. Will work as part of a combined team as the principal business development lead along with program managers and engineering leads, to uncover, pursue and capture new business in the Fixed Site Radio and Integrated Communication Systems market. Responsible for developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers.Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis via decision point reviews.
Advise the organization on customer trends and network/integrated communications CONOPS
Accomplishes results through both personal initiative and counterparts across the Enterprise.Additionally, is considered an informal leader in a particular office/ business partner or specific domain. Often responsible for high level synchronization of business plans across the several business unitswith potential business size of over $100M. Requires exceptional knowledge of DoD CONOPS that relate to multiple business units across the communication, navigation and guidance business portfolios.
On a global basis, regularly interacts with executives/and medium level officials in both Government and Industry and external customers. Required to shape both product and system level business positions for the company.
Leads development of product, system and solution strategies by supporting product roadmap development and investment planning; develops Business Development plansin support of overall business plans; Responsible for product, system and solution level branding and positioning in the global marketplace.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
Eligible for US DoD security clearance.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience through a combination of military, government and/or defense electronic industry positions.
Strong background in military communication systems, capabilities, and technologies. Professional and well-spoken presentation skills mandatory.
Passion to lead and grow the business.
The business is based in Cedar Rapids, but open to discussion about telecommuting.
