As a Principal Specialist, Digital COTS Integration (or internally Principal Specialist, Business System & Transformation), you will be an individual contributor responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, process improvement, and systems integration.

This role is crucial in aligning services, technology, and vendor management with business strategies and needs. You will act as a business contact and advocate for high-quality service delivery, working closely with Security/Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management teams.

This position is onsite and can be based at our major facilities.

What You Will Do:

  • IT Application and Systems Administration: Provide support in a mixed Microsoft Windows and Linux environment, focusing on Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain COTS Software.

  • Infrastructure Management: Request and manage computer infrastructure, conduct Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes, and deploy Server/Client applications.

  • Compliance and Security: Review and vet software to ensure compliance with Raytheons cybersecurity standards and legal policies, coordinating with cybersecurity teams for audits.

  • Vendor and Contract Management: Manage software purchases, licensing, and renewals, support CWA contracts and contract negotiations, and handle vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and service level agreements. Ensure the protection and confidentiality of proprietary Raytheon information.

  • Documentation and Monitoring: Develop and maintain documentation of deployed software and the environment. Monitor software performance and usage, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

  • Implementation and Upgrades: Execute software implementation and upgrades, ensuring timely completion with minimal disruption to operations.

  • 24x7 Operations: Ensure systems are operational 24x7, occasionally requiring work beyond standard hours.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience in Linux and Windows server management.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience supporting Engineering, Operations, and/or Supply Chain organizations, especially in the Aerospace and Defense industry

  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

  • Knowledge of COTS software deployment and integration.

  • Advanced understanding of network security and data protection.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
