We have an immediate need for a Program Cost Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in tracking, analyzing cost and controls for multiple projects. There will be a focus of providing hands-on analytical support to Program Management. The Program Cost Analyst will research, analyze and develop cost models. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture
• Perform daily financial activities, including:
• Research and analyzing historical data
• Drive Estimate At Completion ( EAC) completion and schedule
• Develop cost models to perform cost variance analysis for labour, material and other program costs
• Support forecast, AOP & 5YP creation
• Able to work with tight deadlines, setbacks and changes in policies
• Assist in monitoring costs; ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end goal
• Supporting the development and implementation of improved processes
• Assist in generating program financial artifacts such as CPI reports, graphs, and analysis, as required
• Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials
• Work safely and in accordance with all applicable acts, regulations, legislation, and codes to ensure personal and public safety

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 3 year Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Business
• Must have working knowledge of computerized financial ERP applications; experience in manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Must have experience in Financial Analysis or Business Accounting with intermediate to advanced skills in MS EXCEL specifically with Pivot tables and VLOOK Up. Experience with Microsoft Power BI is an asset.
• Experienced with working with large amounts of data and performing financial analysis.
• Must have experience working with various levels of an organization and comfortable working in a role that is new with changing daily or weekly requirements.

• Highly effective communications skills
• Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions
• Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program.
