STS Aviation Services is hiring a Receptionist in Melbourne, Florida. This is a part-time, on-site role that supports our administrative team while serving as the face of our facility. Position Summary
The Receptionist will provide professional front desk coverage while assisting Human Resources and other departments with general administrative support. This role is responsible for managing visitor interactions, maintaining security procedures at the front entrance, and supporting documentation and onboarding processes. Strong communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to multitask are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, guests, and employees as they arrive
- Monitor lobby activity and maintain facility security through badge and visitor protocols
- Manage guest sign-in, issue visitor badges, and coordinate escorts as needed
- Maintain Stop List and Term List in coordination with airport communications
- Provide general clerical support to administrative and office staff
- Assist HR with onboarding tasks and new hire documentation
- Perform duties including typing, faxing, scanning, copying, filing, answering phones, and sorting/distributing mail
- Maintain accurate records and prepare correspondence as needed
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Work independently and as part of a team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Act as the primary point of contact for facility visitors and callers
- Support additional administrative projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous administrative or front desk experience preferred but not required
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
- Professional demeanor and presentation
- Problem-solving and interpersonal skills necessary to interact across all levels of staff and management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
