Looking for a challenge in one of the world’s largest airfreight logistics organisations?

At IAG Cargo, we’re in the business of moving things. From antibiotics and rhinoceroses to gold bullion, avocados, and everything in between, whatever people need, wherever they are, IAG Cargo is there to bring them the necessary and niche.

As the logistics and cargo brand of International Airlines Group, you’ll work across the globally recognised brands of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Level and Vueling.

As well as helping to keep the world’s economies turning, we believe in building a great place for our colleagues to work. Our people are determined, curious, collaborative and take huge pride in everything they do.

The role:

Revenue management is all about using a blend of data, detailed analysis and commercial acumen and strategy to maximise profitability. Central to the success of this is our team of Analysts.

We are recruiting for various Analyst roles on a permanent basis.  This is a great opportunity to join our friendly and growing team and be responsible for either Pricing or Inventory Optimisation, helping to deliver profitability for a designated group of destinations or origins.

Data and analysis will be central to this role, allowing you to understand route and origin performance while looking at competitors and ensuring we maximise profitability.

You will have a clear set of targets, either route or origin, and it will be up to you to define, own and deliver an appropriate strategy to exceed them. You will of course have guidance and support along the way to help you achieve your goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Regular and ad-hoc analysis to define your strategies and drive key decision-making activity in Revenue Management
  • Complete close monitoring of competitor activity and Market share data, ensuring a rapid response to changes in the competitive landscape
  • Co-ordinate delivery of local RFP’s across the regions
  • Collaborate effectively with commercial functions to identify and drive new initiatives
  • Ensure strong utilisation of both capacity and pricing agreements
  • Actively engage with the continuous improvement and transformation agenda across the department
  • Proactively identify, define and drive commercial initiatives for your routes or origins and across the wider Network
  • Being a key interface between Revenue Management and Sales for your regions

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

  • Analytical; robust analysis is at the heart of all Revenue Management decisions and essential in maximizing revenues in this role.
  • Influencer; negotiating and managing stakeholders across the business will be a key element of your day to day work and you need to have confidence in your decisions
  • Self-starter; able to work on own initiative, make decisions and implement across wide regions with clear planning and reasoning for changes
  • Target driven; incentivised by commercial targets and IAG Cargo Financial Plan
  • Logical mind-set; consider trade-offs to meet high level Financial Plan targets and understand the impact on individual results.
  • Team player; ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Creative; ability to think ‘outside the box’ and deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Resilience; being able to make decisions under pressure and meeting challenging deadlines is key to these roles

Your experience:

  • Evidence of ability to make decisions and judgements based on detailed analysis
  • A strong team player with the energy and drive to achieve the team’s objectives
  • Manage conflicting and changing demands in a high pressure environment

What we offer:

Wherever you work within IAG Cargo, you’ll play a part in connecting people and countries and join a diverse and inclusive business that’s making a difference to the future of aviation.

Colleagues working for IAG Cargo:

  • Benefit from attractive and competitive rewards aligned to the local market and role.
  • From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways and group airlines. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.
  • Work with diverse colleagues in a business that truly values inclusion and diversity.
  • Are valued for their ideas and opinions.
  • Benefit from opportunities for development and progression.
  • Are able to support communities across the world, and close to home.
  • Work in an environment in which safety and wellbeing are paramount.
