Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Industrial Security Analyst. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.
What You’ll Get To Do
The selected candidate will be supporting the Facility Security Offers (FSO) as Assistant Facility Security Offers (AFSO) for multiple programs. This includes large project tasks such as conducting self-inspections, updating compliance framework, closing CAP items, coordinating with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other customers/stakeholders at a high level.
These tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials
- Conducts security education classes and security audits
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with 8 years of related experience, or Masters with 6 years of related experience, or 4 years with a PhD (an additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- DISS, SIMS and/or NISS system experience
- Experience with National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM)
- Experience leading or mentoring other personnel in a team environment
- Experience with government security compliance inspections
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion
- Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas
- Organized and efficient at time management
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have
- 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoD 5205.07 manuals.
- Familiarity with Security Clearance Guides
- Familiarity with The National Industrial Security System (NISS)
- Experience with Lenel or SLOPACS.
- Familiarity with DD254s.
- Incident Response
- Experience utilizing Confluence, JIRA or other Atlassian products
- Familiar with Agile or Scrum methodologies

Salary Range: $98,100 - $147,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
