Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the Joby aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration, scaling our manufacturing, and preparing to launch commercial service in 2025.

The SOC Analyst is a critical role in the Security Operations team that is focused on monitoring and responding to security notifications and alerts. Additional responsibilities include investigating, maintaining, and improving the Security Operation Center’s detection and response capabilities. Strong communication and written skills are essential to effectively integrate with the Security Operations team.

Responsibilities

● Responding to cyber incidents and performing analysis using security tools● Monitoring internal and external networks, systems, and applications for security anomalies and events● Supporting the development of security strategies for software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware● Assisting in security reviews, assessments, and general research● Drafting documentation for both internal and external stakeholders● Working independently or as part of a team as needed

Required

● Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field or 3 years of current work experience in the field of IT security with certifications● Knowledge of network devices, firewalls, IDS/IPS, TCP/IP protocols, EDR, SIEM, and general network architecture● The ability to use critical thinking to develop security solutions that protects data while minimizing impact to UX● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired

● Understanding of the cyber threat landscape, with a strong working knowledge of threat analysis, detection, and response process● Awareness of the latest cybersecurity trends, especially those associated with insider threat detection, response, and mitigation● Experience in security competitions, CTFs and/or testing platforms such as Hack the Box, TryHackMe, Overthewire, etc.

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $66,560 - $113,000/annually. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
