Revenue Management

The Pricing and Revenue Management department helps us run a successful business by predicting consumer demand and setting up pricing structures.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Ancillary Products team, a part of United’s Pricing and Revenue Management division, manages a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of travel add-ons including Economy Plus, upgrades, seat assignments, checked bags, Wi-Fi, travel insurance, and more. This role will provide support for existing standardized reporting processes and develop automation for existing portfolio metrics and processes. We’re looking for strong analytical skillset, business acumen, and comfort with complex data sources.

  • Work with Ancillary Products business team to provide support on existing reporting structures and procedures, including development of automated solutions for standard reporting
  • Maintain existing reporting and tools, with a particular eye for accuracy in underlying data
  • Appropriately identify and resolve issues with data workstreams
  • Develop dashboards to visually represent key performance indicators
  • Support and execute timely ad-hoc analyses
  • Mine complex data, including joining different databases as needed, with an emphasis on ancillary purchase and revenue trends
  • Develop and monitor critical KPIs

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field like Mathematics or Statistics
  • 4+ years in business analytics
  • Knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBeaver, Teradata, Python)
  • Complex SQL programming skills, experience extracting and manipulating data from databases
  • Strong knowledge of Python and MS Excel
  • Ability to communicate the results and implications of complex quantitative analysis to a variety of audiences
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Masters degree
  • Familiarity with DataBricks platform
  • Knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis
