We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support for key activities related to United’s financial systems and processes. This includes:

1. Participating in enhancement and upgrade projects including requirement gathering, coordination, testing, communication, change management, and training

2. Ensuring proper master data management

3. Developing and enforcing user provisioning standards

4. Leading the day-to-day support/help desk function

5. Supporting internal and external audit teams to ensure SOX compliance

  • Act as a liaison between Technology and the finance and accounting groups to refine system configurations as required
  • Lead the day-to-day support/help desk function
  • Troubleshoot financial systems issues; identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Support ad hoc analyses related to special projects
  • Take part in testing and configuration related to finance system upgrades and enhancements
  • Conduct training for new implementations and ad-hoc guidance

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree
  • Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience with large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) administration (Oracle/SAP/Workday)
  • Skills with report writing tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence, Tableau, Spotfire or Power BI
  • Ability to write procedures & training materials
  • Ability to plan, implement, and train users
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Masters degree or MBA
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience with Hyperion/Essbase
  • Experience with Oracle EPM Planning and Account Reconciliation Module
  • Experience with Oracle R12 ERP modules, particularly GL, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, and System/Security Admin
