In recent years, we have been actively building our supply chain engagement in the region to support Vietnams aspirations in the aerospace sector. To help us execute and define our long-term visions for Vietnam, as well as develop and maintain plans to achieve our short-term and long-term objectives, we are seeking a talented Senior Government Relations specialist. This individual will report directly to the Boeing Managing Director in Vietnam and will be responsible for the following key responsibilities. This position is based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Government Relations: Engage with government officials, associations, and consultants to advocate for Boeing and advance our business interests.
  • Political and Market Analysis: Assess political trends in the country and region, provide reports and recommendations on policy impacts to Boeing.
  • University Engagement: Lead engagement with local universities to develop curriculum, establish talent pipelines, and foster a strong relationship between Boeing and academia.
  • Government Funding: Collaborate with national and local government teams, as well as strategic partners, to identify and secure government funding opportunities aligned with Boeings Country Vision and Plan.
  • Business Support: Assist the Country Managing Director in risk management, audit management processes, and other assigned duties.
  • Deputy Role to Vietnam Managing Director: Activities may include:
  • Support external events as a deputy
  • contribute to the country vision and strategic plans
  • Lead market development projects

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Management Engineering, or equivalent. A higher degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in relevant areas, such as business and program development with a regional, national, or local government, or a similar role in the industry.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication in Vietnamese and English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience working for or with multinational companies, preferably U.S.-based entities.
  • Deep understanding of the business environments, cultures, and regulatory landscapes of Vietnam.
  • Strong project planning, management, and execution skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Familiarity with Vietnams aerospace industry and government policies related to the sector would be highly beneficial.
  • Confident public speaker.

Relocation

  • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

  • This is not an expat assignment. The selected candidate will be a local hire employee in Vietnam.
  • Employer will sponsor applicants for employment visa status based on candidate eligibility.
  • Travel up to 20 will be required, within the country, to the USA, as well as other possible locations.
