We are currently seeking a Senior Program Planner for our Waterloo, Ontario location.  This position is responsible for the development, maintenance and analysis of various Program Master Phasing Schedules and Integrated Master Plans (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) while ensuring Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance, developing the network, integrated workflow of schedule activities to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective plans are established for scope of work. Perform analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of critical path, risk integration, IMS structure, and evaluate trends and schedule related metrics. Reviews and implements IMS coding, outlining structures to directives and department scheduling best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ability to understand the program technical and programmatic solution, lead integration of that solution into the IMS baseline plan ensuring the cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated into the execution plan.
• Lead creation and maintenance of compliant IMS on requirements provided by the customer that achieve necessary cost and schedule integration.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules and provide input to resource planning and forecasting
• Provide planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, and schedule variance analysis on multiple IMS’s
• Support Program Management in assessing program risks and opportunities
• Support program teams in understanding schedule risks and opportunities
• Display good verbal and written communication skills, be a team player and have good working knowledge of company business systems and policies and earned value management techniques
• Support Variance Analysis Review (VAR) Meetings and program audits to validate schedule and EVMS data integrity
• Support proposal teams with developing proposal IMS’s to identify execution schedules and input estimates given by functional teams.
• Work with proposal teams for identifying key dates for team members to deliver basis of estimates to enable IMS creation.
• Work closely with Finance for IMS inputs for creation of bid price.
• Accommodate unexpected events, achieve critical deadlines with quality results and perform as a flexible team member in support of the objectives and initiatives of the site

Requirements

• University or college degree in business or related discipline with a combination or work experience will be considered
• 5-10 years experience in a Program Planner role
• Proficiency with MS office products, advanced proficiency with MS Project and familiarity with resource leveling and baselining features
• Strong knowledge of EVMS principles
• Exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• The ability to work with a team, as well as independently, is required
