Team

Airline Operations Technology manage, support, and oversee change for a range of critical services used to run the airline. Our team is split into five areas: Schedule & Roster Production, Aircraft & Crew Management, Engineering Maintenance & Safety, Flight Operations and Airport Operations. We work in close partnership with the various suppliers and business teams across Europe.

 Job Purpose

 To configure, support and maintain, IT services to support the needs of the operation in our Airport environment and to provide 3rd line service support for complex issues. This includes supporting roadmaps for airport technology and ensuring the services needed in Airport Operations are fully maintained.  Working with local Airport IT and larger scale suppliers who act as airports 3rd party suppliers, for our airline and others

 What you’ll need to do the role

  • Support Project/Delivery managers in development of new and/or improved business solutions to systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose and supportable, in-line with the business requirement specifications and project plans. 
  • Act as the Technical SME for the business services in our airport environments.
  • Translate complex business interactions into rigorous technical analysis and technical system solutions by working with systems vendors, escalating issues as appropriate and ensuring alignment between the suppliers and the strategic direction of systems in easyJet.
  • Provide 3rd line systems support for assigned systems.  Coordinate support activity across the team to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues assigned to the team
  • Work with the IT Service Desk to ensure effective first line support is provided for core airline systems in accordance with support agreements
Job Requirements:

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable & relevant systems experience in 2nd/3rd line support
  • Experience of design, test and delivery of system developments, IT Services and reporting (product lifecycle)
  • Supplier management skills – able to engage key stakeholders
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant experience in system administration tasks

     Desirable Skills

    •  Knowledge of business processes and terminology for airlines, airports and/or aviation IT
    • Experience of test execution in a Business/Airport Systems environment
    • Demonstrable & relevant systems experience in 2nd/3rd line support
    • Airline and/or Retail sector experience (Sabre & Amadeus)
    • Experience of implementing updates/upgrades on business systems
    • Experience of Change Management processes
    • Experience of using Confluence and Jira
    • Experience of business solutions used within Airport Operations Services/Systems (for example: Sita, Collins; Amadeus: Departure Control Systems (DCS); aviation reservation systems; Network support; aviation specific
