In order to support our high-fidelity Aircraft Simulation development, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Simulation IT-Administrator (d/f/m)In Manching, we develop high-fidelity Aircraft Simulators, which are distributed real-time systems. To support their development and operation, we rely on a powerful, Linux-based, self-managed IT infrastructure. To enhance and evolve our infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced IT Administrator to join our passionate team of Infrastructure Engineers and IT Administrators. In this role, you will directly contribute to shaping our infrastructure, tools, and processes, empowering our software and DevOps engineers to take our products to the next level.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our IT infrastructure and provide support to our developer community regarding their IT infrastructure needs (normal business hours)
Deliver commissioning, updates, and decommissioning services for our backbone as well as user-related tools, services, and computing resources (Bare-Metal, Virtualization, Servers, Network, Authentication ...)
Continuously improve the capabilities and reliability of our IT infrastructure
Take an active role in implementing an Infrastructure-as-Code paradigm across all our services
Maintain and develop our internal IaaS services and the underlying technologies (e.g., Proxmox, Container Platforms, Ansible AWX, Lifecycle Management)
Maintain and develop our internal PaaS services (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SVN, Moodle ...)
Desired skills and qualifications
Completed vocational training as Fachinformatiker - Systemintegration, IT System Administrator, or an equivalent formation
At least 5 years of professional experience in the full-stack operation and design of IT infrastructure
High level of expertise in at least one or more related fields (e.g., virtualization, storage, automation...)
Experience in one or more scripting/programming languages (Ansible, Python, Bash, C&43;&43;, Go, PHP ...)
Solid multi-distro Linux skills
Experience with dynamic provisioning and immutable systems would be a plus
Advanced English skills
Proactivity, customer orientation, and an urge to automate as much as possible are key
