Job overview and responsibilities
If you like to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and like to solve complex problems, then join a dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative team in United Airlines Operations Planning. As a senior analyst in Planning, you will work alongside our Strategy, Base, and Line Planning teams to optimize maintenance plans to minimize out of service aircraft, maximize capacity utilization, and reduce overall life cycle cost. You will be working on planning projects such as data mining, discovering trends, creating analysis, and assisting with continuous improvement. This position requires innovation and critical strategic thinking to drive and deliver improvements in the planning organization. As a senior analyst on the Technical Operations Planning team, you will be responsible to:
• Conduct data analysis and display data in an articulate and meaningful manner that resonates with project champions, owners, and team members
• Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs to drive aircraft maintenance strategy
• Provide analysis, audit, and investigative assistance including but not limited to:
o Leadership meetings and presentations
o Operational impact studies regarding placement of maintenance tasks
o Definition of station strategy, capabilities, and performance evaluation
o Long-term capacity and resource planning
• Create and update maintenance opportunity schedules and ensure alignment with requirements
• Support planning teams with day-to-day responsibilities; identify and help resolve challenges across stakeholders such as Planning, Engineering, Records, Maintenance Programs, Methods and Standards, Technical Publications
