Boeing leasing is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting internal and external customers and stakeholders of Boeing Leasing hosted products, which makes up a part of the Boeing Digital Aviation and Analytics portfolio.

The role of Systems Administrator includes performing computing delivery system integration, hardware and software installation and deployment, configuration and maintenance of servers and workstations to provide a highly available and secure hosted product portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides high quality and timely support for2nd line technical support cases and problem resolution for application delivery systems, in line with contractual SLAs.

  • Provides valuable technical input andsupport for the design, validation, deployment and configuration management of computing delivery systems and software.

  • Administers user’s system access and works to protect information to meet security and compliance requirements.

  • Monitors key system performance metrics and security logging to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning to ensure high systems and applications availability.

  • Provides periodic out-of-hours and weekend support for scheduled maintenance and software release activities.

  • Provides periodic out-of-hours and weekend support for major incident response on a stand-by basis.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly (spoken and written) in English is a must.

  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

  • Windows Server 2016/2019

  • Office365

  • VMWare VCP6-DCV

  • Citrix Certified Professional or Expert – Networking

  • Linux - Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)

  • Linux - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

  • Azure Level 1 Fundamentals

  • Azure Level 2 Infrastructure

  • Azure Level 3 Hybrid Infrastructure

Essential knowledge and experience for this role:

  • 3 years General IT system administration experience in a customer SaaS environment including most of the following: 

  • Azure fundamentals and administrator

  • MS Windows Server 2016/2019

  • MS SQL

  • VMWare (preferably VM certified)

  • IIS

  • Citrix

  • Active Directory domains, DNS/DHCP

  • DevOps mentality and experience

  • Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Possesses general knowledge or understanding of other related IT disciplines.

  • Ability to interact effectively with inter-organizational personnel, external customers, and 3rd party suppliers. Represents the organization by providing clear solutions to difficult technical issues or specific technical requirements.

  • Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain or deliver expected results would typically result in serious program delays, operational impact to customers, and considerable expenditure of resources. 

  • No 9 till 5 mentality but focus on getting the job done.  

  • Pro-active and open mindset. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly (spoken and written) in English is a must.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position. Pay will be determined at the local level.  Successful candidates must have legal authorisation to work in The Netherlands for continued employment or the ability to achieve this.
