Position Summary
Either supports production areas with technical expertise or produces production parts on more technically complex processes per the responsibilities below. Exact job tasks may vary by area assigned.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing process and support for assigned area(s)
Safely setup all production processes.
Run all production processes meeting safety, quality, delivery, and throughput goals.
Perform all required preventative maintenance.
Perform repairs on equipment in area as appropriate.
Help create and maintain process sheets.
Provide technical support to team members running production processes, rework, setup, …
Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot any aspect of the production process either independently or with other team members, leadership, or manufacturing engineering.
Complete Day by Hour boards and
Completes and understands Team Improvement boards as appropriate.
Identify good and bad parts.
Perform any required rework independently.
Develop process improvements to remove rework.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Make any non-safety related process improvements as appropriate.
Active participant in high performance teams.
Other activities or tasks assigned by leadership team appropriate for the assigned area(s).
Qualifications
High School Degree or Equivalent
Minimum 5 years relevant technical experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Great problem-solving skills.
Can read, write, and speak English enough to perform job responsibilities.
Basic computer knowledge.
Able to understand and follow any process sheets, drawings, work orders, standard work, work instructions or other documents appropriate to the area.
Able to use all required measurement devices such as calipers, VMM, or micrometer.
Troubleshoot more than 1 area.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Typical Mental and Physical Demands:
Spend most of the day walking or standing.
Both near and far vision to evaluate parts and processes
Work with other team members, maintenance, leadership, manufacturing engineering to support the process.
Work with or on equipment in the area using any appropriate tools.
