Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Identify, quote, negotiate and close business in accordance with company objectives, quotas, and policies.
• Contribute to the development of pricing policies, including incentive discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers.
• Establish a business development process for early detection of prospective business and subsequent lead qualification.
• Develop and execute lead programs, Marketing plans contemplating direct spaneting, internet spaneting, advertising, PR and other promotional initiatives in collaboration with the VP of Marketing and Communications.
• Attending Domestic and International exhibitions, industry associations and trade shows and making promotional presentations as required.
• Work closely with Program Management to ensure customer satisfaction through timely and high-quality product and service delivery.
• Provide frequent, accurate, and candid reporting to the President on the sales pipeline and business development progress.
• Work closely with other departments for problem analysis and resolution and any other collaborative undertaking necessary to meet sales goals and conflict resolution.
• Provide spanet intelligence to help refine and focus the company’s product and service offering with the objective of attracting and retaining high value customers and developing strategic indispensable relationships that lead to long term, high value sales growth.
• Maintain customer relationships for repeat business also developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
• Promotes and cross-sells all AerSale products and services to Customers worldwide.
• Establish forums for strengthening customer relations and improve retention.
• Works with development partners to strengthen product and service offerings and collaborates on joint spaneting and sales efforts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales or Business Management, MBA Preferred.
• 10 years prior experience in selling STC and PMA products and services, with exposure to both product-push and demand-pull product development models, in avionics, interior, and structural modifications.
• Strong established relationships in the aviation industry with an Avionics background preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
• In-depth knowledge and principles of commercial aviation on Boeing, Airbus, and regional aircraft.
• In-depth knowledge of the complex sales process for engineered products and services, especially FAA STC and PMA’ed products.
• Experience and ability in leading, mentoring, and developing teams and direct reports.
• Firm understanding of the aerospace product development lifecycle and its implications in costing and pricing determination.
• Ability to influence and sway outcomes during the Sales process.
• Known in the industry as a contact with several OEMs, Vendors and most importantly Customers.
• Highly organized and detailed oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• High standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Effective at closing Sales opportunities, generating new business, identifying and achieving new target spanets, customers, etc.
• Travel often and regularly as needed, including over weekends and on short notice.
• Strong established relationships in the aviation industry, with Part 121 airlines and operators preferred.
• Proven Sales track record.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Passionate salesperson.
Physical Requirements:
• Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.
• Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
• May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
