Job Description:
The employee shall be able to demonstrate, perform and apply knowledge on the below listed systems as directed by the governments work center supervisor.
  • Aircraft publications orders, instructions, notices, aircraft accounting reporting, aeronautical logs, records, closeout procedures and associated forms using appropriate maintenance administrative procedures and references.
  • Process, remove, screen and file SRC/HER cards.  Coordinate with SPAWAR on documentation changes.
  • Conduct and coordinate MDS/OOMA NALCOMIS training. Maintain MDS/OOMA NALCOMIS report files.
  • Assist squadron personnel in developing and using statistical tools and graphical aids.
  • Maintain the command’s OOMA NALCOMIS system. Maintain OOMA database with daily updates and validations IAW SPAWAR instruction manual. Coordinate and monitor OOMA for the department.
  • Assist the AMO and other supervisory personnel in determining the specific goals for new types of data reports required for managing the maintenance effort. Identify and apply analytical techniques to areas of material deficiencies, high man-hour consumption, or other pertinent trends.
  • Draft and submit Software Maintenance Tracking System (SMTS) trouble reports to SPAWAR for system corrections.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work in areas that are noisy, dusty, and dirty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Will be required to comply with safety requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures Manual. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, where applicable.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of eight (8) years technical experience as an Aviation Analyst/OOMA systems administrator supporting a military aviation program or an Associate’s degree in data analysis, business, computer science or related field study and a
  • Minimum six (6) years’ experience as an aviation analyst/NALCOMIS systems administrator.
  • Education:High school graduate or equivalent.
