SUMMARY

This is a permanent based Mission Systems Instructor position based in San Jose, Costa Rica. They will be expected to support airborne training as part of an integrated ground and air team providing Mission and Continuation training to sensor and systems operators in accordance with a government provided syllabus and training objectives. While stationed in San Jose, Costa Rica, candidate will provide fixed wing maritime operational support for the Department of State INLA program in support of the Host Nation Nationalization Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute all assigned preflight, mission, and post-flight duties as required to safely and effectively operate sensor systems supporting missions requirements as assigned. This includes mission planning, pre briefings, mission system inspection, operation, troubleshooting, post-flight inspections, debriefings, and mission documentation.
  • Apply systems knowledge, analysis techniques and procedures and coordinate with customers, hardware team, software team and functional experts within WASS/INLA to maximize mission effectiveness.
  • Provide Standardization oversite and guidance to the Host Nation IAW DoS INLAs policies, procedures, and the Tactical System Operators Training Program.
  • Conduct classroom, ground and airborne training and assist in the production of qualified Tactical System Operators.
  • Conduct mission briefs, execute sorties and then participate in debriefs and post mission documentation. 
  • Responsible for leading, mentoring, training, and supporting personnel assigned to the program. - Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure daily operations are effectively and efficiently implemented, coordinated, and conducted in compliance with contract, U.S. government requirements and company SOP.
  • Perform sensor upgrades, mission system maintenance, and troubleshooting.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent  

Skills and Experience Required 

  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • English Level Fluent Native. 
  • Spanish Level Fluent Native.
  • Previous military ISR systems training experience.
  • A strong background in integrated flight and ground training.
  • Experience with sensor platforms or like systems to support all weather and night operations.
  • Prior military sensor operator on a DoD or DoS INLA program.

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3 Years Experience Preferred
