Within Avionics systems Design office department, your mission will consist in analyzing current architecture of avionics systems on the following 2 main aspects

Architecture upgradability in the frame of new functions introduction
Systems maintainability

Following a first step of overview of the current architecture, the objective of the apprenticeship will be to propose improvements on the 2 above mentioned axis.

Regarding upgradability aspects, main study axis will be:

Optimization of current architecture while maximizing usage of current computers, modular platforms
Study means to support incremental updates and in particular that would allow to interconnect a wide range of analog sensors to computation platforms. The study will focus on the installation of data-concentration modules
Identify how to rationalize / simplify current architecture while limiting numbers of equipment or “standard parts” with the target to free space into avionics bays

Regarding maintainability aspects, all factors contributing to overall system’s maintainability will be analyzed

Tools / means supporting failure troubleshooting and reporting to maintenance organization
Architecture and inter-systems communication links

Process and means supporting software upgrade in full compliance with configuration management and cyber-security constraints
Capacity of the architecture to manage evolutions or addition of new A/C functions

This study is of high importance in a context of incremental and constant evolution of ATR product (Short Take-Off and Landing, EVO…) that relies on highly complex systems that shall not increase operator workload to operate aircraft.

This apprenticeship is designed for you

You are preparing Engineer diploma in aeronautics, avionics system and seeking for apprenticeship of 2 to 3 years duration

You have general knowledge in aeronautics and avionics systems
You are aware of aircraft maintenance operations
You have notions of IT and networks. Additional skills related to cyber-security aspects would be appreciated
You are curious, autonomous and full of energy
You got natural communication skills and like team-work
You are fluent in English written and spoken
You have practice or planning to develop your skills in French, written and spoken

Au sein du département Avionics systems Design office, votre mission consistera à analyser l&39;architecture actuelle des systèmes avioniques sur les 2 aspects principaux suivants

L&39;évolutivité de l&39;architecture dans le cadre de l&39;introduction de nouvelles fonctions
La maintenabilité des systèmes

Après une première étape de synthèse de l&39;architecture actuelle, l&39;objectif du stage sera de proposer des améliorations sur les 2 axes mentionnés ci-dessus.

En ce qui concerne les aspects d&39;évolutivité, l&39;axe d&39;étude principal sera :

Optimisation de l&39;architecture actuelle tout en maximisant l&39;utilisation des ordinateurs actuels et des plateformes modulaires.
Etudier les moyens de supporter des mises à jour incrémentales et en particulier qui permettraient d&39;interconnecter une large gamme de capteurs analogiques à des plateformes de calcul. L&39;étude se concentrera sur l&39;installation de modules de concentration de données.
Identifier comment rationaliser / simplifier l&39;architecture actuelle tout en limitant le nombre d&39;équipements ou de &34;pièces standard&34; dans le but de libérer de l&39;espace dans les baies avioniques.

En ce qui concerne les aspects liés à la maintenabilité, tous les facteurs contribuant à la maintenabilité du système global seront analysés.

Outils/moyens permettant de résoudre les pannes et de les signaler à l&39;organisation chargée de la maintenance
l&39;architecture et les liens de communication entre les systèmes
les processus et les moyens permettant la mise à jour des logiciels dans le respect total des contraintes de gestion de la configuration et de cybersécurité
Capacité de l&39;architecture à gérer les évolutions ou l&39;ajout de nouvelles fonctions A/C.

Cette étude est d&39;une grande importance dans un contexte d&39;évolution incrémentale et constante du produit ATR (décollage et atterrissage courts, EVO...) qui s&39;appuie sur des systèmes très complexes qui ne doivent pas augmenter la charge de travail de l&39;opérateur pour exploiter l&39;avion.

Cet apprentissage est fait pour vous:

Vous préparez un diplôme d&39;ingénieur en aéronautique, système avionique et recherchez un apprentissage d&39;une durée de 2 à 3 ans.
Vous avez des connaissances générales en aéronautique et systèmes avioniques
Vous êtes sensibilisé aux opérations de maintenance des aéronefs
Vous avez des notions d&39;informatique et de réseaux. Des compétences supplémentaires liées aux aspects de cybersécurité seraient appréciées.
Vous êtes curieux, autonome et plein d&39;énergie
Vous avez des aptitudes naturelles à la communication et aimez le travail en équipe.
Vous parlez et écrivez couramment l&39;anglais
