Assembles components, switches, electrical controls, junction boxes using hand tools and soldering iron.Connects components to assemblies, such as radio systems, instruments, inverters. Test wiring installations and assemblies using circuit tester, and voltmeter. Performs lay out installation of assemblies and systems in aircraft in accordance with blueprints and wiring diagrams.Adjusts, repairs, or replaces malfunctioning components or assemblies. Performs electrical wiring modifications to equipment removed from aircraft. Routes and ties wires to form wire harness cables used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems. Five or more years experience in A-318/319/320/321 commercial aircraft avionics, electrical, communications, navigational, radar and other related systems.
Minimum of 10 years experience on commercial aircraft overhaul maintenance as an Avionic/Electrician. FCC license is a plus. Must be familiar with wiring schematics, wiring practices and wire bundles/ harness identification, test equipment and auxiliary power units. Must have proficient working knowledge of crimping procedures, wire lacing/ typing procedures, wire-marking machines, continuity tests, heat-shrinkable tubing, and analysis charts Five (5) or more years experience in Airbus commercial aircraft avionics, electrical, communications, navigational, radar and other related systems. A&P, and or FCC License is a plus.
