Aircraft Electrician / Avionics

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems for military and commercial aircraft.
- Conduct bonding, resistance, continuity checks, and AC/DC power tests.
- Install wiring, cables, and connectors following precise engineering drawings and schematics.
- Complete wire terminations including coaxial connectors, splices, and shielded cable terminations.
- Use tools such as crimpers, multimeters, and bond meters to perform electrical installations.
- Support scheduled maintenance tasks, system modifications, and defect rectification.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, reporting all incidents via Boeing Safety Management System.
- Maintain accurate records, tool inventories, and clean work areas ("Clean as You Go").
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and follow direction from lead technicians and SMEs.
- Flexibility to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft to customers.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic (commercial or defense) or completion of a relevant trade apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in reading wire schematics, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of installing fiber optics, coaxial cable, and quadrax.
- Skills:
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with electrical tools and measuring equipment (e.g., crimpers, multimeter).
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Preferred:
- FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance standards (FOD control, tool control, safety protocols).
