Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists with managing the development program of new aircraft programs including transition into production. Collaborates and partners with the Avionics and Electrical team(s) and their suppliers to ensure the development program meets performance requirements as well as customer expectations. Assists in managing the schedules and budget performance for the Avionics and Electrical team(s). Lead Avionics and Electrical team(s) as a certified Agile Scrum Master and support developing the Avionics and Electrical organization in the Agile mindset.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the implementation of New Product & Service Introduction (NP&SI) process for the new aircraft development program.
  • Must be able to guide and coordinate the tasks of multiple internal disciplines and outside suppliers.  Assists in supporting a cross functional team responsible for schedule and budget development and performance.
  • Assists in managing an integrated, cross-functional team assigned to the program.  Coordinates efforts of representatives from various disciplines specifically assigned to the program.
  • Partners with the integrated team to reach solutions to complex program issues.  Must be able to understand complex program issues as well as the work-scope and risks associated with different alternatives.
  • Maintains program status to assist the Program Manager in developing the overall program updates for management and external audiences including customers, suppliers, FAA and foreign authorities among others.
  • Supports reviews of the overall program for the Senior Leadership Team.
Job Requirements:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, engineering, or other related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in aircraft development programs or relative experience required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong working knowledge of Textron Aviation aircraft development processes
  • Pilot certificate and/or A&P license preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams through complex issues
  • Effective in providing communications and presentations to senior leadership
  • Skills in Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office suite software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
