Summary:
Under minimal supervision, assist in the removal, installation, fabrication, and testing of avionics and electrical components.
Assist with the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring, electrical components, and fixtures according to blueprints and engineering drawings.
Maintain accurate logs and records.
Complete tasks within the allotted time frame.
Ensure work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Verify and inspect all work for defects before final inspection.
Comply with company FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned.
Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen events).
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years of related work experience, or an avionics certificate from an accredited school with one year of related work experience.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and general software knowledge.
