Summary:
Under minimal supervision, assists with the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics/electrical systems.
Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components per blueprints and engineering drawings.
Maintain required logs and records.
Complete tasks within the allotted time frame.
Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Check all work to ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection.
Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events).
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two (2) years of related work experience, or an avionics certificate with one (1) year of related work experience.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and software knowledge necessary.
