STS Technical Services is hiring Avionics Repair Technicians in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Job Overview:
This position requires a basic knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair problems to the component level on avionics units (i.e. Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio and Autopilot Systems), as well as the aircraft systems.
Responsibilities:
- Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments. Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Perform general avionics support items on aircraft. This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
- Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
- Work independently on projects.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electrical tech school.
- Avionics specific factory training.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years prior experience on aircraft maintenance.
- 2 years turbine aircraft experience.
- FAA paperwork, work order and billing process experience.
Initiative:
- Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
- Able to process work with minimum supervision.
- Able to deal directly with customer, including with areas of conflict.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer oriented work habits.
- Complete all work orders, FAA paperwork, logbook entries and billing items.
