The Avionics Technician performs duties as an avionics mechanic on H-1 Series aircraft in the Czech Republic. Avionics Technician will provide maintenance and repair of aircraft avionics and electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Responsibilities
- Performs unit level aircraft electrical, navigational and avionics repairman maintenance on aircraft avionics and electrical components.
- Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, install, remove, inspect, perform functional tests/checks, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems, components and ancillary equipment of installed navigation and communications systems associated with the Aircraft using the specific aircraft technical manuals, A1-T700A-MRC-350, Special/Conditional/Preservation Maintenance Requirement Cards T700-GE-401/-401C Engines, and other applicable manuals.
- Performs duties relating to flight line operations of aircraft to include launch, recovery, and maintenance ground turns.
- Uses common tools, test equipment, and special tools necessary for performing maintenance tasks.
- Performs aircraft systems operational checks. Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft avionics systems test sets and diagnostic equipment.
- Uses and performs operator maintenance on common and special tools, AGSE and PGSE.
- Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness for Operational Readiness (OR) rates.
- Performs shift “All Tools Accounted For” (ATAF) inventories and attends all hands Foreign Object or Debris (FOD) walk downs to maintain standards that comply with FOD and Tool Control procedures.
- Supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.
- Accepts aircraft materials from supply system and ensure applicable technical directives have been complied with prior to installation/use on aircraft.
- Maintains appropriate records of all maintenance and inspection actions performed, technical training conducted, and organic equipment assigned to the avionics division.
- Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Six (6) years’ experience and two (2) within the last five (5) years as an H-1 Series avionics technician.
- Successfully completed and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Marine Corps Avionics Technician course.
- Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms or similar aviation maintenance management system, and other aircraft related documentation.
- Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
- Possess a valid state or Government issued driver’s license.
- Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ten (10+) years of directly related experience.
- Collateral Damage Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) experience.
