Position Overview:

The Avionics Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain avionics systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Fabricate, route, and modify wire harnesses.
• Perform software loading and configuration in accordance with OEM documentation.
• Fabricate and install simple aluminum or composite brackets on aircraft structures.
• Install antennas on aluminum or composite aircraft.
• Conduct 14 CFR 91.411 and 91.413 test procedures to ensure compliance.
• Identify and address safety concerns immediately.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in avionics or a related field.
• Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
  • A&P License
  • FCC General Radio Operator’s License
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of DC electrical theory and avionics fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with 14 CFR 91.411 and 91.413 compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AC 43.13-1B guidance for aircraft maintenance and repair.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted.
  • Comfortable working in an aircraft hangar environment.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces (small aircraft).
  • Ability to read small print with or without corrective lenses.
  • Strong fine motor skills for handling small components and precise tasks.
• Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass random drug tests.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
