Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Avionics Technician to work on various aircraft modification projects, including the Hercules C130, Citation, 737, and CH47. The role involves the fabrication, installation, and assembly of avionics and electrical parts in accordance with manufacturing drawings and maintenance manuals. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations comply with Canadian Aviation Regulations and FAA Regulations, and for maintaining the quality of products delivered.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy modifications on the Hercules C130 and other aircraft projects.
• Support off-aircraft systems and larger component installations.
• Execute interior upgrades on the 737 and modifications on the CH47.
• Fabricate and assemble avionics and electrical parts according to applicable drawings and manuals.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Work within the quality system and SOPs to deliver products conforming to their type design.
• Ensure all installations meet regulatory standards and use good judgment in technical decision-making.
• Identify non-conformances and counterfeit parts, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Plan and execute avionics installation projects with precision.
• Communicate effectively with peers and manufacturers.
• Ensure the use of effective and calibrated tools.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of MRO Canadian work experience
• 5+ years of experience with heavy maintenance and installation
• Ability to install landing gear and run comb and clamp harnesses.
• Experience with avionics and electrical systems on a variety of aicrafts
• Strong familiarity with leading avionics brands

Compensation

• Hourly rate is based on experience/AME license
• Weekly payroll
• Hotel or Air B&B accommodation provided
• Per Diem
• Flights covered for fly in/fly out rotations
• Transportation provided

Work Environment

You will work with a team of 14 avionics technicians per shift. There may be a split shift in the next month or two, with hours from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and a second shift from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. The work schedule is flexible, with options for 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Contractor can work up to 60-hour weeks. All contractors will stay in company-provided accommodations, with alternatives arranged as needed. A per diem of $60/day is provided, increasing to $70/day for work outside the port. Shuttle services and rental cars are available for transportation.
