Job Description

The contractor will be working on aircraft installation on the Dash 8 Q400 and performing bench work. Duties include working on the airframe, cockpits, and underneath the floors to install wires, examining wiring diagrams, and managing wire harnesses. The role involves both bench work and hands-on tasks related to the Dash 8.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain avionics systems on the Dash 8 Q400 aircraft.
• Perform work on the airframe, cockpits, and under-floor areas.
• Examine and interpret wiring diagrams and wire harnesses.
• Conduct bench work and other related tasks as required.
• Ensure all installations are completed accurately and on time.

• Minimum of 2 years of avionics installation experience.
• Experience in aviation, avionics systems, and aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to start immediately without requiring extensive training.
• Licensed or unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with 2+ years of experience.

Compensation

• $55.00 AME E licensed
• $52.00 unlicensed
• Weekly payroll
• $50.00 Per Diem
• Monthly living allowance
• Mileage or Flights covered round trip

Work Environment

The team consists of 5-6 people, working closely with the team leader or lead hand to ensure aircraft functionality. You will need to bring basic tooling, while specialized tooling (like crimping tools) will be provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10-hour days from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. The role includes various allowances such as lodging, meals, and travel reimbursements. Work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail and teamwork are highly valued.

This is a Contract position based out of Abbotsford, British Columbia.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00
