Responsibilities of this position include:
*Troubleshoots and repairs all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft
*Communicates with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairs
*Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspector
*Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes as required by company policies, FAA approved repair station and quality control manuals, all FAA regulations, OEM aircraft manufacturer manuals, etc.
*Learns, understands and follows the company work order and parts requisition process as written.
*Maintains a clean, neat, and efficient work area
*Repairs and calibrates shop equipment as assigned Top candidates will possess:
*Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
*Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
*Organizational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
*Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
*Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals
*Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work Other requirements include:
*Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems
*Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.
*Experience working with and repairing the following aircraft systems:
*- Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, Pitot and Static Systems
*Any bench repair capabilities preferred
*A&P License / FCC License a plus
