We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Avionics Technician with experience working on UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex avionics systems, ensuring all components operate at optimal performance and comply with military and FAA standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test and maintain UH-60 avionics systems, including communications, navigation, flight control, electronic warfare, and missile equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and electronic test equipment
- Install, modify, and repair wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical components according to technical specifications
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and preventive inspections
- Ensure all work complies with applicable military technical manuals, aviation safety procedures, and regulations (e.g., AR 95-20, FAA guidelines)
- Document all maintenance actions in accordance with maintenance tracking systems (such as ULLS-A, GCSS-Army, or TAMMS-A)
- Collaborate with pilots, crew members, and maintenance personnel to ensure operational readiness and flight safety
- Maintain inventory of avionics tools, parts, and equipment and ensure proper calibration of test gear
- Participate in quality assurance programs, training, and safety briefings as required
