Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionThe avionics technician will perform maintenance on aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as airborne navigation and communication systems, autopilot systems, weather radar, transponder, pitot-static systems, compass systems, instruments, and accessories. The role involves testing and troubleshooting instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters. The technician will install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft using hand tools, power tools, and/or soldering irons. Additionally, the technician will adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and/or soldering irons. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, repair, testing, installation, and inspection of aircraft electronic equipment and systems, as well as removal and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels. The technician will fabricate and test avionics systems wiring harnesses, perform Pitot-Static/RVSM systems testing and repair, fabricate parts and test aids as required, and maintain repair station records and documents as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on aircraft avionics and electrical systems components.
- Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters.
- Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft using hand tools, power tools, and/or soldering irons.
- Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and/or soldering irons.
- Troubleshoot, repair, test, install, and inspect aircraft electronic equipment and systems.
- Remove and reassemble aircraft interior and instrument panels.
- Fabricate and test avionics systems wiring harnesses.
- Perform Pitot-Static/RVSM systems testing and repair.
- Fabricate parts and test aids as required.
- Maintain repair station records and documents as required.
Essential Skills- Avionics installation experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- FCC license
- Troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair
Additional Skills & Qualifications- GA Experience (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft)
- Experience with Garmin systems

Work Environment
The position is a 1st shift role, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. There are not many weekends required and minimal overtime. The work will be conducted in a hangar.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brainerd, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
