Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description:

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems on client and company planes, primarily focusing on Garmin and some Honeywell systems.
  • This role involves testing, modifying, upgrading, repairing, and inspecting all avionics and electrical systems on the aircraft.
  • Interpret and follow complex wiring diagrams and schematics, perform wire-by-wire, power, functional, and operational checkouts of electrical and avionics systems prior to aircraft flight.
  • Set up required electrical and electronic test equipment in compliance with technical data and complete the appropriate functional test.
  • Connect air data test set to appropriate aircraft fixtures and complete a full functional checkout of the entire pitot/static air data system.
  • Troubleshoot and correct discrepant systems and perform soldering applications in various positions.

Pay:

  • $27-$48 based on experience
  • Per diem available for non-local mechanics

Shift:

  • The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Additional Details:

  • 6 month contract to hire
  • You will work in a team consisting of a lead and four technicians, within a maintenance department of roughly 30 people, including mechanics and interiors specialists.
