Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description
As an Avionics Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, test, remove, and replace avionics and instrument wiring and systems installed in various airframes using hand tools, test equipment, technical documents, and technical reference materials. You will order necessary parts to complete the job, inspect components and aircraft systems as needed, and document work completed on work orders according to approved procedures. You will also assist bench technicians, provide on-the-job training to less experienced technicians, accompany flight crews for in-flight troubleshooting, and perform preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems. Additionally, you will maintain and clean line maintenance test equipment and work areas, attend technical training classes, and be available for on-call service.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, test, remove, and replace avionics and instrument wiring and systems.
- Order necessary parts to complete the job.
- Inspect components and aircraft systems as needed.
- Document work completed on work orders and properly document removal and installation of aircraft parts and components.
- Assist bench technicians in resolving discrepancies in avionics and instrument components and systems.
- Provide on-the-job training to less experienced technicians.
- Accompany flight crews for in-flight troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Perform preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems.
- Communicate and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
- Maintain and clean line maintenance test equipment and work area.
- Operate ground support equipment as necessary.
- Attend factory and company technical classes to increase technical skills and proficiency.
- Maintain technical training log.
- Be available for continuation of service and act as a point of contact for customers before or after scheduled hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills- Experience troubleshooting, installing, and modifying avionics systems for Falcon and Bombardier corporate aircraft.
- Minimum 3 years of experience required, with 5+ years needed to be considered for top pay range.
- Corporate aircraft experience is required.
- Experience troubleshooting Collins Proline, and SPZ 200 and 500 systems is strongly preferred.

Work Environment
You will be traveling from hangar to hangar at BNA airport performing work in customer hangars. The role requires working in confined spaces, heights above four feet, and tolerating extreme temperatures and noisy environments. Physical activities include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and sitting. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00
