Job Title: Avionics Technician/ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking to hire an Avionics Technician/Electrician for a long-term, full-time role modifying, repairing, and maintaining military aircraft – specifically modifications for weight reductions and avionics equipment upgrades on electronic warfare aircraft. These roles are fully funded and intended for long-term hire with one of the largest defense integrators in the world.
Responsibilities
- Use knowledge of electrical theory and aircraft wiring to build up, install, and remove wire harnesses.
- Test and terminate wire harnesses.
- Troubleshoot using testing equipment and document findings according to blueprints and schematics.
- Work hand in hand with general mechanics, structures mechanics, and inspectors.
- Assist teammates in other various Powerplant, Airframe, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), and mechanical duties.
Essential Skills- 4+ years of experience on the F/A-18 or EA-18G aircraft in one or more of the following system specialties: RADAR, ECM, AEA, or COMMNAV.
- Experience with the avionics software on F18/EA18G.
- Experience with the weapons systems including ALQ-99 pods.
- Must be eligible for SECRET clearance.
- Must be eligible for Boeing badge (no terminations on record with Boeing).
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with the avionics software on F18/EA18G is highly desirable.
- Experience with the weapons systems including ALQ-99 pods is a plus.

Work Environment- Day shift Monday-Friday with some Saturdays possible, 8-hour shifts, on base at Whidbey Naval Air Station. Reporting to a client Lead, as well as potentially to prime contractor customer leads. Working primarily in a hangar and some on flightline, mostly inside and not exposed to elements. Tools are supplied.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00
