Job Title: Helicopter Avionics Technician InstallerJob Description
As an Aircraft Avionics Technician, you will work on A119 (TH-73) commercial helicopters in their Part 21 Assembly. You will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components. You will also need to document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installation, and verify parts requests. You should be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions. You will use a variety of manual hand tools and specialized aircraft test equipment and must communicate effectively with other employees and supervisors. This role requires performing duties on all shifts and in various conditions while wearing required safety equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.
- Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, and log critical information during installation.
- Verify parts requests.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions.
- Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, and complex specialized aircraft test equipment.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing with other employees, supervisors, and others as required.
- Perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions while wearing required safety equipment.
Essential Skills- Experience with avionics troubleshooting and functional testing.
- Proficiency in aircraft avionics systems, wiring, and wire harnesses.
- Ability to perform avionics installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of aircraft electronics, avionics systems, and aircraft maintenance.
- Experience with soldering and coaxial cables.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of electrical/avionic aviation production experience preferred.
- Military experience considered.
- Knowledge of rotary or fixed-wing aircraft.
- General overall knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components and systems.

Work Environment
The role involves working on the final assembly helicopter line or flight line. Employees can expect to work on both 1st and 2nd shifts. No tools are required for this position. Safety equipment must be worn as required, and employees should be prepared to work in various conditions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr.
