Lead a team in performance of aircraft modifications, maintenance, and inspections. The Lead will assist in the creation of aircraft installation Kits at the production facility in Ogden, UT. Candidates must be located in Ogden, UT or willing to relocate to Ogden, UT and be expected travel to Oklahoma City, OK regularly. This position will be eligible for per-diem, per GSA Government Standards while traveling. Traveling will be considered outside of Utah.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Possess the technical experience to supervise subordinate technicians and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations for the airframe being supported.
- Capable of performing, supervising, and inspecting the duties of all team members.
- A person in this position maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, and electronic systems of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to avionics, flight controls, and mechanical components determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
- Worker applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, routing drawings or manufactures' manuals.
- Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft electrical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components; a thorough knowledge of aircraft avionics systems; sheet metal/structural modification and repair; and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
- Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as electrical, avionics and weapons test equipment, torque wrenches, multi-meters, aerospace ground equipment is required. Must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/avionics, and electrical engineers, as well as customers
- Must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
- Responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
- Worker will be expected to keep training records for the install team and work with the Unit to schedule trainings.
- This worker will be responsible for communicating with the install team, the base maintenance unit, and the program management.
