The Lead Avionics Technician is responsible for managing and leading avionics department personnel in the maintenance, inspection, repair and modification of avionics and electrical systems in large complex aircraft. The person filling this position should be an experienced aircraft avionics technician with experience leading a team of aircraft avionics technicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage avionics team in the performance of aircraft avionics and electrical system maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification
- Assist avionics technicians with technical problems or issues
- Possess advanced knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in the inspection, repair, and modification of avionics and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and avionics-related malfunctions
- Work collaboratively with engineering personnel and repair station customer representatives
- Accurately interpret technical data including repair manuals and wiring diagrams
- Maintain a working knowledge of documentation used in aircraft repair and modification including field approvals (FAA form 337) and supplemental type certifications (STC)
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Review and initiate avionics department requisitions for parts and materials
- Participate in the development of avionics and electrical system repairs, upgrades, and modifications
- Ensure avionics department personnel maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion and in accordance with company policies
- Ensure avionics department personnel follow company safety procedures
- Train and mentor new avionics technicians
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Repair Station Manager
